    Anders Celsius squeezed a lot into his 42 years on Earth. An astronomer like his father, he was secretary of the Royal Society of Sciences at Uppsala University by the time he was 24. A few years later, he was on the expedition that confirmed the exact shape of the planet – proving that it's not a perfect sphere, but has slightly flattened poles that are impossible to observe from our perspective alone. He helped to determine the subtle effect that aurora borealis – the Northern Lights – have on compass needles. And he developed his own light-based system of measurement for celestial bodies, helping to determine their brightness.
     
    This was a guy who really cared about the details.
     
    In 1742, Celsius presented his description of a thermometer to the Swedish Academy of Sciences. He based his accompanying scale of measurement, from 0 to 100, on the boiling point of water and the melting point of snow. The Celsius scale, as it came to be known, was at the time determined to be a more precise way of measuring exact temperature than any of the other alternatives that were then being used. In the centuries since then, an amended (and inverted) version of Celsius's original scale has become a global standard for temperature measurement. Chances are that you use it, or at least see it, every day.
     
    Like much of Celsius's other work, his temperature scale is all about precision. It's defined by details. It gave us an understanding of the small, incremental steps that lie between the extremes. Anders Celsius gave us the degrees which make the difference – and with which, in Celsius°Cooking™ by ASKO, you can achieve perfection.
    The first couple of times you use Celsius°Cooking™ might feel a bit unusual. But where you would normally check all the time to see if the level you're cooking at is too high or too low,you can now rely on the system to control the temperature exactly.

    The Celsius°Cooking™ system consists of bluetooth connected accessories that enables temperature precise cooking, guided cooking recipes that supports you in your cooking and a range of premium induction hobs with endless possibilities to match your kitchen design. 

    The hob, pan, pot and probe communicate with each other using Bluetooth to always ensure the right temperature and the right heat at the right time. There is even a companion Celsius°Cooking™ website, which is home to a large collection of inspirational step-by-step recipes, specially created for temperature precise cooking. The recipes come in the form of short films that guide home chefs through each step of the cooking process. The recipes are fun, inspiring and a great way to experience everything the Celsius°Cooking™ system from ASKO has to offer.

    The accessories of Celsius°Cooking™ enables temperature precise cooking and communicates wirelessly with your hob using Bluetooth. These accessories include the Celsius°Cooking™ Chef’s Pot, Celsius°Cooking™ Frying Pan and Celsius°Cooking™ Probe – all designed to connect home chefs to an exciting new world of culinary possibilities. The pan is perfect for proteins, pan sauces, shallow frying and more. The pot is ideal for, amongst other things, large batch cooking, slow cooking, braising and frying, while the probe measures temperatures when cooking, boiling, slow cooking, braising and more. 
     
    Sensors in the ASKO Celsius°Cooking™ pot, pan and probe monitor temperatures both inside the food, and on the cooking surface of the pot and pan – making sure that nothing gets too hot, or is not hot enough. The pot, pan and probe communicate this information with the hob using Bluetooth, so that it always delivers the right amount of heat.

    Using the Celsius°Cooking™ Probe, home chefs can measure the exact temperature inside the food they are preparing as well as the temperature of any fluids. The Celsius°Cooking™ Chef’s Pot and Celsius°Cooking™ Frying Pan each have a sensor positioned on the base. These sensors measure precisely how much heat is being directed towards the pot and pan so nothing gets too hot or is not hot enough. The pot, pan and probe communicate information with the connected induction hob using Bluetooth, so that the hob always delivers the right amount of heat.

      Hood to hob function

      Not only will your ASKO cooker hood switch on when you start cooking, it will have the capability to "read" what's happening on the hob and change its own performance to suit. The cooker hood is, in effect, another part of the system – but one which is focused on cleanliness, and comfort, in the heart of your home.

      Auto Bridge™

      When using extra-large pots and pans, the Auto Bridge function in designated zones expands the induction cooking area and gives total coverage for bigger dishes, grill pans and teppanyaki.

      Easy Dial 2.0

      The Circular Slider control on the hob's touch displays shows you what level you have the heat at, both graphically and numerically. You can either get a visual feel for how much heat you're cooking with, or go by the number – either power level, or temperature.

      Power Management

      The Celsius cooking hobs include a current limiter, where you can define the power supply of your household so that the hob never exceeds power limitations.

      Celsius°Cooking™ menu

      The hob comes along with integrated Celsius°Cooking™ programs, optimized for Celsius°Cooking™ cookware. With this menu three different cooking methods can be chosen, with different temperature ranges.
       
      Heating up and frying
      This program is to reach high temperatures rapidly. High pan bottom temperatures can be reached.
       
      Boiling or cooking with water
      This program is to reach higher water temperatures quickly. Medium pan bottom temperatures can be reached.
       
      Slow cooking or sous vide
      This program is to control low to medium temperatures, preventing high bottom temperatures.

      Plus menu cooking

      The PLUS menu allows cooking with semi-automatic programs, enabling temperature cooking with all kind of cookware that are compatible with induction hobs.
       
      Grilling
      Exclusively for bridged cooking zones, that are combined to a larger cooking zone. Grilling is optimized for ASKO induction accessories: grill plate and teppanyaki.
       
      Frying
      With this function you can easily cook vegetable, fish, bacon, meat, fried potatoes or eggs by using butter or oil.
       
      Keeping warm and Heating up
      With this function you can, for example, melt chocolate (45°C), keep food warm (70°C), simmer (94°C) or bring to boil (100°C).

       

      Power level cooking

      Standard Power Level cooking with up to 12 fine-tuned Power Levels and a Boost-Level to get water boiling quickly. Every cooking zone has its own dedicated control - with separate countdown and stopwatch timers.

The Celsius°Cooking™ system is available with different dimensions and different numbers of cooking zones to suit different dimensions, cooking styles and family sizes. 

      ASKO Premium induction hobs are designed for use with an external hood and are available in the following sizes: 38, 64, 72, 80, 90 and 111 cm, while the ASKO Elevate hood-in-hob for kitchens with a clear view is available in 83 cm.
       
      To add more versatility, ASKO has designed the hobs in two colours: matt black and shiny black. Shiny black is perfectly suited to more traditional kitchens or kitchens with a white finish and can be installed flush or on top of the worktop. The matt black version integrates perfectly with clean, minimalistic kitchen spaces and is installed only on top of worktops.
