Engineered for Endurance
At ASKO, we believe in creating appliances that stand the test of time. Each product in the series below undergoes rigorous durability testing under controlled conditions, designed to reflect extended use over time.
These tests reflect our commitment to quality and reliability. As with any appliance, individual machines may occasionally require servicing or component replacement. Your statutory warranty rights remain fully applicable, along with any additional warranty terms in ASKO’s general sales conditions.
Our front-loading washing machines undergo some of the most rigorous endurance tests in the industry. During development, ASKO tests models and core components under conditions simulating 10,000 operating hours across 4,500 wash cycles, which is equivalent to around 225 cycles per year over 20 years.
These test conditions are based on real-world consumer habits, identified through studies and surveys. Every test is closely monitored by ASKO experts, with results carefully documented to ensure reliability.
Our testing approach is built on detailed operating instructions, laboratory protocols, and factory standards, reviewed as part of an operational stability study. This rigorous process ensures our machines meet the highest industry standards for long-term performance. For context, typical European households do around 3.4 washing cycles per week, or roughly 176 cycles per year (Source: APPLiA, Tumble Dryer Filter Study – Final Report, 2020), which helps inform our 20-year simulation tests.
Please note: “Tested for 20 years of use” refers to testing conducted under controlled conditions to simulate extended use over time. It is not a guarantee of product lifespan, and appliances may require maintenance or servicing over time. Actual lifespan may vary depending on usage, environment, and operating conditions..
Our front-loading tumble dryers undergo some of the toughest endurance tests in the industry. During development, ASKO tested models and core components under conditions simulating 10,000 operating hours across 3,200 drying cycles, which is equivalent to around 160 cycles per year over 20 years.
These tests are based on real-world consumer habits identified through studies and surveys. Every test is carefully monitored by ASKO experts, and results are documented and evaluated to ensure reliability.
Our testing approach combines detailed operating instructions, laboratory protocols, and factory standards, reviewed as part of an operational stability study. This rigorous process ensures our machines meet the highest industry standards for long-term performance. For context, European households average 2.7 tumble-drying cycles per week, or roughly 140 cycles per year (Source: APPLiA, Tumble Dryer Filter Study – Final Report, 2020), which helps inform our 20-year simulation tests.

ASKO dishwashers are built with durability in mind, delivering consistently high performance over time. To achieve this, every dishwasher undergoes a rigorous long-term testing regime during development and after assembly.
Our tests are based on the European standard dishwasher usage of 280 cycles per year, totaling 5,600 cycles — or 12,500 hours — over the machine’s designed lifespan. Machines run continuous cycles across a variety of programs, day-in and day-out, in lab conditions for around 18 months, simulating 20 years of normal use. At ASKO, we believe that long-lasting performance starts with thorough testing.
Testing covers every aspect of performance, safety, and durability. Drain pumps and spray arms are tested for flow rate, water pressure, rotation speed, and spray trajectory. Electrical components, including door locks, dispenser locks, and pumps, undergo repeated stress and overheating tests to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Durability is further ensured by using steel components wherever possible, with remaining plastic parts artificially aged in climate chambers to confirm they maintain size, strength, and colour. Dishwasher doors are tested up to 120,000 open-and-close cycles, while baskets and trays are fully loaded and checked for deflection.
Even after assembly, each dishwasher is tested to guarantee proper functionality before leaving the factory.
